A labour of love, Diyanillakelle Estate Bungalow is an effort conceptualized by Shriya Holdings to present the charm of Diyanillakelle Estate and the wider region of Lindula, Nuwara Eliya in a distinct way.
The bungalow is perched scenically at the edge of a 170-acre extent of tea, and the estate also houses the Group’s tea factory which produces a range of high-quality conventional and artisanal teas.
The bungalow looks out onto soothing expanses of green and mist covered mountains in every direction, and it is perfectly built and placed for an extended bout of rest and recreation.
From the moment you step into Diyanillakelle Estate Bungalow, you’ll experience first-hand the warmth of Sri Lanka’s world-renowned hospitality. From the rooms and amenities to the cuisine served, everything has been carefully looked at to ensure a memorable stay.
The Diyanillakelle Estate Bungalow harkens back to a bygone era, when British colonial influence could be seen across the island. The bungalow displays an architectural style reminiscent of the holiday homes of the Brits and Scots of the period. Restored to perfection, the bungalow closely melds both local and foreign influence in its many external features.
On the inside, the layout, the high ceilings, and some of the fittings are British-inspired; however, the art on display as well as some of the hand-picked pieces of furniture amply display the island’s rich heritage. The interior of the bungalow tastefully combines both influences.
