Victoria Park

Victoria Park, Nuwara Eliya

Situated next to Nuwara Eliya Post Office, the lush green Victoria Park in Nuwara Eliya is a great place to spend a lovely evening in the city and remains the main park in the area. Spread across 27 acres of land and full of foreign trees and flowers the Victoria Park was named in honour of Queen Victoria’s 60th Jubilee coronation in 1897.  Once used by Hakgala Botanical Garden as its research field, it is now a well-manicured public lawn with Nanu Oya river running across it adding an intoxicatingly beautiful look.
